Steve Pope’s 525km in 3 days
Steve will be cycling 525 kilometres in three days to help fund The White Bike Foundation Schools Program. The Foundation will be delivering its pilot road safety program to Boneo Primary School later this year, with a plan to roll the program out across as many schools on the Mornington Peninsula as possible. One day, we hope to expand the program across Victoria and Australia.
School pupils hold the keys to the future of Australian road safety and we want to encourage them to take the right attitude onto the roads – and ask them to remind their family members how to use the road safely.
Steve Pope wants to raise money for The White Bike Foundation to encourage every road user to understand the implications of his/her decisions. He believes that far too many people in this country are being injured and killed due different road users making rash decisions. Steve wants to help spread the #think2 message across the country, asking the government to accept some responsibility over the rising numbers of deaths on our roads. He will be riding the following events:
27/04/19 Great Ocean & Otway Classic: 145km (1426m elevation)
15/09/19 Amy Gillet Great Ocean Road Gran Fondo: 130km (1903m elevation)
06/10/19 Around The Bay: 250km (1160m elevation)
Thanks Steve. Good luck and Ride for Joel.
